This “Boxy Pouch” is ideal to corral your sewing notions to grab and go to class, or it can be used as a cosmetic bag, handwork project bag, or whatever your heart desires!
This unique pouch when unzipped, opens flat so the contents can be easily accessed and when zipped closed, everything is secure for on the go!
Finished size: 5” H x 10” W x 5” D (closed)
Supplies:
5/8 yd Main Fabric
5/8 yd Lining Fabric
30 inch zipper tape with 2 zipper pulls
Stabilizer:
5/8 yd Soft and Stable (minimum 22 inch square)
5/8 yd Pelon 809 or SF101 (minimum 22 inch square)
As you make this adorable pouch, the following techniques will be used:
- Quilt fabric with Soft and Stable
- Installing zipper pulls onto zipper tape
- Making and installing a handle for carrying
- Straight raw edge binding
- Top stitching
